Queensbury School book club welcomes you to their official site! The group was formed by request and has grown into a regular meeting place where we celebrate the reading of a variety of books that appeal to all our tastes! We have read everything from ‘Looking for JJ’ by Anne Cassidy to the Carnegie winning book ‘Framed’ by Frank Cottrell-Boyd.

Each year we have participated in the Carnegie Book Awards where we read a list of short listed books that have been nominated to win the prize for books that appeal to young adults. We work in partnership with Thornton School who we meet with to discuss and debate our ideas regarding the book we think most deserving of the prize. This has been so successful that we plan on taking part in it again this year, which is something we are all looking forward to!

Our message is, enjoy the power of the written word just as much as we do!
